How have we not talked about this one? Beta signups have been available since late January. It obviously won't be as completely "unrestricted" as a single player Elder Scrolls game like Skyrim, but I still think it's worth a look.

Melex and a couple of the folks that we ran with in AoC (Adeptus) are in the beta. I haven't decided if I'm interested in playing or not.

That's cool. How are those folks doing, anyway?

I have to admit I'm seriously conflicted about this. On the one hand an Elder Scrolls MMO is just immediately enticing, but on the other hand what I love about the Elder Scroll series is the completely open nature of the game. The idea of introducing all the MMO baggage into that experience is less than enticing.

Having said that: Ebonheart Pact all way.

Word. Nords and Dunmer (Dark Elves) are my two favorite Elder Scrolls races to play. Having them in the same alliance is convenient.

I signed up for the BETA but have yet to hear anything.

Anyone in the Defiance Beta/Alpha now?

Nope, haven't really been keeping up with that one. It looks cool, though. I've been playing TERA lately.

 I've been kinda following the game, but like Remy, I'm conflicted about it. Though as I said having three factions does make it possible for RvR.

Also YES FOR EBONHEART PACT!!!

I think the saving grace for ESO is two things:

-- The vast and rich Elder Scrolls lore
-- The Faction vs. Faction combat

I can overlook some possible shortcomings of ESO because it's a world I WANT to adventure in. I'm fine with levels so long as the grind to get to the top is fun and rewarding.
