Open beta technically begins today for Neverwinter Online - if you bought the "Hero of the North" package, that is:

If you are a Hero of the North, you will be able to play Neverwinter starting April 25, 2013 at 9 A.M. PDT (Pacific)!

If you are a Guardian of Neverwinter, you will be able to play Neverwinter starting April 27, 2013 at 9 A.M. PDT (Pacific).

Non-Founders will be able to enjoy Neverwinter's Open Beta on April 30, 2013 at 9 A.M. PDT (Pacific).

I'll be checking it out come April 30th, just to see what it's all about and if it's something I'd be interested in playing.

To clarify, I'll be checking it out to see if it's something worth spending money on. I'm sure I'll play it in some capacity, because it'll be F2P.

The "open beta" period for Neverwinter is apparently also a "soft launch" of the game, as there will be no more character wipes. That goes for the graduated releases on the 25th, 27th, and tomorrow's *full* release on the 30th. I found that out in the first part of MMORPG.com's "Review In Progress #1", which can be found below.

http://www.mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm/game/634/feature/7361/Review-In-Progress-1.html

So - anyone going to try it out tomorrow? I think it would be awesome if we could roll up a Kenafin group, jump on Vent, and play this together.

I'm thinking of starting out with one of the following two characters:

Kethron, a Human Great Weapon Fighter
Vhen, a Dwarven Devoted Cleric

I probably won't be bale to get to it any time soon. We're moving bit by bit this month, but sometime after May I'll probably be checking out. Keep us updated!

Will do. I wouldn't be checking it out, but the price is right (i.e. FREE).

I will probably check it out but not sure if it will be tomorrow.

I have read absolutely nothing about it either.

I might be online with this tonight. However, my wife is leaving tomorrow to visit her sister in Canada for 5 days, so I might end up spending all of my time this evening with her.
